  • There is an AI startup boom in Southeast Europe! This is confirmed by a new report conducted by Romanian Techcelerator and Google for Startups. Almost fifty percent of the AI startups aim to raise over one million euros during the next year. Romania is the regional leader with 150 AI startups. *Source
  • GapMinder venture fund is receiving 10 million euros to back potential acquisitions in early stage tech companies in Southeast Europe.   • The Ministry of Education of Bulgaria announced that Bulgaria is the leading country in Central and Eastern Europe in the use of technology solutions provided by the Google platform for education. Data shows that about 500 schools and a total of over 200 thousand users in Bulgaria are actively using the opportunities provided by the company’s cloud platform. *Source
  • The Romanian Government has authorized Lenovo to participate in the 5G network of the country despite a special law keeping Chinese companies at bay due to significant suspicions regarding the involvement of the Chinese communist state in technological espionage activities.
